  Liquefaction Assessment Theory - Becker Density Test (BDT)

The approach for liquefaction assessment based on Becker Density Test (BDT) is essentially assessing the liquefaction potential, using equivalent SPT blow counts (N60). Two following methods are covered in NovoLiq for correlating Becker blows to SPT blows:

 

 

Harder & Seed (1986) Sy & Campanella (1993) with considering friction (RS)

 

When BDT blow counts are converted to equivalent SPT blow counts (N60), the procedures for Standard Penetration Test will be applied to field test data.
