SPT is the most widely used in-situ geotechnical test in the world and engineers always used correlations of SPT with soil properties. NovoSPT is designed for correlating Standard Penetration Test (SPT/ DCPT) blow counts (N60) and estimation of more than 29 geotechnical engineering soil  properties based on more than 260 equations and formulas extracted from 67 geotechnical books and papers. All charts can be separately printed, saved as text file, MS Excel file and even exported to graphic formats like JPG, BMP, TIFF, etc. Since bearing capacity and settlement of shallow foundation and piles are also incorporated into this program, user may enter as many SPT numbers in depth as necessary. NovoSPT will calculate the average N60 below the foundation according to this data.

Statistical interpretation of correlations for each soil parameter is presented in NovoSPT. This new and exciting feature is necessary for our users to better understand the variation of correlated results when dealing with tens of numbers:

One of the features of NovoSPT is plotting all the results and correlated values for a specific soil parameter in one graph to facilitate comparison and choice of the best estimated value for that parameter. You can even select your favourite correlation methods to be plotted and compared together (see picture on left).

Cross correlation with depth

The new innovative "Cross Correlation with Depth" feature enables user to plot the variation of a specific soil parameter along depth of borehole, correlated based on some correlation methods to ease comparison of correlated values in depth.
